Love of Fashion and Art

Anrod Meads, a very interesting SL artist, has a new garden location for his artwork. He has a live event coming up next Thursday, 3pm SL time, featuring Caasi.

Anrod hinted that the garden works nicely as a place for a photoshoot, so I decided to make my fashion post there.

Puppets in this virtual show

I posted about Melina M, aka Ling Serenity, in my old blog once, but she has a new location for her gallery Cadeling Garden, and BND shop, now, and deserves a new post. I have always loved her art. I keep seeing it every now and then on the walls of public spaces. I own some pieces as well. Her manga influenced images are naivistic but there is a depth to them. An emotion. The colors are gorgeous, lines so delicate. It shows that she is a graduate of Visual Arts from Paul ValĂ©ry’s University in Montpellier. Melina sees her Second Life avatar Ling Serenity as a doll that creates dolls. She says in her info card: "Melina is no more than the manipulator of her puppets in this virtual show."

The Gallery is shared by Cadel Aboubak, who makes strong abstract paintings that are made unique by the materials mixed in with the paint. Originally from Aurillac, Cadel is completely self thought. Sensuality, fear, anger, love, sharing the artistic experience and finding new inspiration, are important to this artist. My description is based on an online translation from French, so please forgive me for possible errors. (Ling's info was also in English on the notecard the group join sign gives).

Artwork in beautiful tiny dresses

Aminata wears "Spring Dreams Tiny Dress" (hair Akuma from Ploom)
Pie wears "Yellow Rose Tiny Dress" (Hair Jinx from Ploom)
Butter wears "Warm Dreams Tiny Dress" (hair from Lamb)
Pie is wearing Ravens Kondor Tiny Dress
Pie is wearing Raging Inferno Tiny Dress
Andor Meads creates digital art that is visually very impressive and usually based on math and done with fractal programming. I have admired his work for a while now. Anrod enjoys being a tiny and his new innovation is using his artwork in beautiful tiny dresses. And he makes shoes for them too! Tiny ladies like being fashionable, so his dresses have found an appreciative audience fast. At the Tinypolis location you can also buy the art that was used in making the dress.

Kind of ageless

Kath's Emporium and Tiny Huggles, is the home location of the store, with a big showcasing of Kath's photography. I posted about her exhibit at Raglan Shire Tree Gallery, and decided to go take a look at the main gallery.

The Bridge location, found in the teleport, is breathtaking. I just had to take some outfit pictures there. It is also a very inspiring view for an artist. It is not really part of the gallery, but since it was not marked private, I am sharing it with you.

The Medieval outfit I found from featured items in the Marketplace. It is just so beautiful. The quality of the textures, the way it looks on you, is just gorgeous. The colors are pretty. It does not have issues with different poses, as you can see from the pictures. I don't do rp in SL, even thought I have been playing roleplaying games in real life for years. But the medieval outfit looks good when I go about my day inworld, it is kind of ageless.

Viper

Viper Gallery at Gay Riviera (adult)

So,  I had been wondering, what to show you guys from Gay Riviera. Been there for a few events myself and it is a really fun place, and a very beautifully built one at that. They have stores by many a quality SL brand.

Then I saw a banner for the Viper Gallery online and decided to visit. It is a small shop with gorgeous photography of adult nature. The sim itself is adult, so take that in to account if you decide to visit.

I love the tongue in cheek humor of the photographs combined with a sleek style and clearly a great talent. Even if you are not attracted to males, you may find beauty in these images. They are like poems in honor of their subjects, if you allow a mushy expression.

I do not want to hide my blog under a warning for adult content, so I am not showing the imagery in this post. Instead you get a shot of the gallery front and a couple of outfit images. I have been thinking "guest at a gallery opening" for this outfit for a while actually, I love the gorgeous dress by Kunglers.

Outfit details:

Earrings: Eluzion: Mariasha
Eyes: Adam n Eve: Mesh Eyes, Fawn, free sample
Dress: Kunglers: #62, The Dressing Room, Blue
Hair: D!va: Chiharu, Black amber
Shoes: Baby Monkey: Lola pumps, all colors hud

Drawing inspiration

Cica Ghost's Black and White World at LEA 13 is a fantastic experience. Cica says in the description of her installation, in the LEA blog, that her idea for this project came from an imaginary world she has in her mind. I love the storybooklike feel of her work. The drawings move around and the world is full of fun little details.

I was going to take pictures of the sim itself only, at first, but the whole experience is somehow made even better by the visitors moving around and interacting inside the fantasy world. It is a great place to spend time alone or with friends, and to let your mind wander. I feel like writing poems or painting after a moment there.

-Corset: Chandelle: Lya Pink
-Hair Accessory: Loq: Bird Skull for TDRB (old)

The piece on the back wall on white stones, in wooden frame, is Poetry of Spaces by me.
I wanted to go back to the Boobiethon 2012 Art Auction site at RoHaus gallery to take one last look at the art that was up for auction until yesterday afternoon. So much great talent. And this auction made amazing 100 000 lindens for Feel your boobies foundation!

A couple of more events still left in the Boobiethon calendar, today:

October 13th, 12p-2p SLT
October 13th, 6p-8p SLT
